Round 1 - Senior Coaches Report
4 Apr 2019 by Bri Anson
Evening all,
Obviously not the result we were after yesterday, we knew we were going to be up against it with some quality players out.
However with the group we had on the field and the position we were in, we were very disappointed to let this one slip.
To Tallangattas and Tyson Smith’s credit they played very well and converted their opportunities where we didn’t.
They adapted well to the conditions and were much more accountable than what we were throughout the game.
The positives for us yesterday was our back line in James wells, Matt Mclinden and BoG Kyle Mcnamara.
The were inundated with attack after attack and rebounded most of them.
Our two ruckman Adam Elias and Tom Hofert started the year really well rotating forward for the day. They both hung onto a few marks so it’s going to be exciting to see what the rest of the year has installed for them.
We will regroup, hit the track and train as hard as we can in preparation for our round 2 clash against Rutherglen at Rutherglen.
We look forward to seeing all the supporters getting out there as we look to win our first game for the year
Cheers cookie
